SASI is a comprehensive learning skills program for all UTM students with disabilities.

This free program will provide students with the opportunity to develop the requisite skills and knowledge for their upcoming courses. Interactive sessions include:
  • building a personalized study plan
  • meeting with a faculty member
  • building and connecting course-related skills (reading, study notes,exam preparation)
  • and learning with board games!

Head Start 2019 takes place on Wednesday, August 28th to Friday, August 30th on the UTM Campus. UTM Head Start is a series of FREE interactive sessions for all new students featuring
student panels, course instructors, librarians, and simulated classroom experiences designed to introduce you to the first-year experience at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Our goals are to help you understand the keys to success, make a smooth transition into university, and develop
the skills you need to enhance your academic performance.

O-WEEK

O-Week provides all new students with an introduction to life at UTM.


Welcome to UTM! Throughout the week, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your academic program, discover the UTM campus, become better prepared for your first week of classes, meet your new UTM community, and make some new friends before classes begin! O-Week is free of charge and offers programming that all students can participate in!

UTMSU's frosh is for all incoming first-year students.


University of Toronto Mississauga Student's Union Frosh is the ULTIMATE experience for all of our incoming first years as it is the BIGGEST and the most ANTICIPATED event of the year. It has been run by your student union for the past 30 years. Not only do you get to meet other first years who share the same mindsets and start the same journey as you but you will also be able to learn a lot more about UTM and all of the services we have to offer! UTMSU Frosh events include very high Energy Events such as Dance parties and Cheer off's as well as lower energy and more relaxing events such as Boat Cruise and Beach Day. Our motive is to provide our incoming first years with the information and the network they need to make sure they transition into post-secondary as smoothly as possible. SHERIDAN'S JOINT ORIENTATION

For students in the Art and Art History Program


After meeting your UTM faculty in the morning, you're invited to join us at Sheridan's Oakville campus to meet your Sheridan faculty, senior students & tour the facilities. A shuttle bus will meet you at UTM at 1:15 p.m. and will return you to campus by 5:30 p.m. Studying at two schools simultaneously is VERY unique - don't miss this opportunity to learn more about your journey ahead.
